History

O*H*I*O Masters Swim Club  was organized on September 4th, 1974 by Jack Van Horn, Tim Timken, John Humphries and Ted Branin in an office at the Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio. Jack Van Horn was the first President and Mr. Branin the Coach. The first meet was held on December 1st, 1974. One of the members, the late Harry Fox designed and created the Top-Ten Patch in 1976 which is still being used nationwide. Considering that Masters swimming was officially adopted in 1972 O*H*I*O Masters  is one of the oldest Clubs in the United States.
